Apologies for the off-topic post but myself and the wife are selling our house to relocate further South.
After speaking to our estate agent today I realised that they (like most agents) sell houses through advertising in newspapers and sending flyers to people.
I also realised that - being on the receiving end of these flyers - they are not always well targeted or even relevant.
So, to hell with it and let's stick some pictures of our house on the blog and see if anyone wants to buy it.
Key facts:
- Two official bedrooms - inc. a massive master
- Unofficially converted attic which is currently an office but could be bedroom
- Quality bathroom (see below)
- Hand-made fitted kitchen units (previous owner was a cabinet-maker)
- Garden - which is cut by a neighbour and includes a crab apple tree
- Wood-burning stove (see above)
- Stable doors - good for pretending you're in The Archers
- Did I mention the kitchen has a lovely Range Master stove?
Other important stuff:
- Close to both Wakefield and Leeds city centres
- Very close to M62 - so Manchester 45mins (or Hull if you so desire)
- Dead easy to get to Wakefield train station - so London about 2 hours away
- Despite connections still a country-location - damnit, it's near perfect!

You might also get to meet the house's other residents, our cats Cosmo and Dibbs!
Looks like a lovely house mate, sure you want to sell it?
The fire is the killer ap.

Simon, I presume these pictures were taken just before the local river burst through the front door..?

@Stephen - it's a lovely house. Not sure we want to sell it, but we have to!
@TWL - It's almost like you've been on Google maps spying... the local river is the Calder and although usually invisible was actually visible on the horizon as it stretched the levee to bursting point. But we're on a rise you see... safe as... er, houses!

Simon - I'd buy it, if I didn't live and work several hundred miles away...and if it had a couple more bedrooms...oh well!
Looks like a nice place - good luck with the sale!

Really lovely looking property, have you tried using The Little House Company online we used them to sell our house cutting out the estate agent and their fees.
Cheers
