I posted a couple of spontaneous comments on Neville Hobson's blog at the weekend after he posted about the government minister, David Miliband, pulling his allegedly £6,000 blog after he was promoted to a different department in the post-local election re-shuffle.
But always ready to hold my hand up, my criticisms of unjoined up government (shurely shome mistake!) appear to be misplaced. David (or his people) quickly had a new blog up and running over at DEFRA's website. What's more, it seems his new blog (www.davidmiliband.defra.gov.uk) has a much better URL than his previous blog (http://www.odpm.gov.uk/cs/blogs/ministerial_blog/default.aspx).
On a separate note.... I wonder if - as a member of the New Labour's Blairite faction - David will be keeping us appraised of the 'Old Labour' insurrection taking place as reported in today's news? It's been a while since we had a good, ol' fashioned political scrap.
Will blogs (official or unoffical) provide us with a ring-side seat?
Over the weekend I've already aimed both barrels at Neal Lawson, a former high-profile corporate lobbyist, who has spent the weekend on TV attacking Blair. So far most commentators seem to agree with me!

Thanks, Stuart. I'll take a look at your soapbox.
I take it you won't joining Compass anytime soon!
