Rob Skinner over at Ertblog voices a sentiment I've had for a few weeks now.
I now know that it isn't just me that the level of output from the UK's PR bloggerati has dropped off somewhat.
Somewhat ironically I have been meaning to post about this for ages but somehow never got around to it. Meanwhile my ability to post regulalrly is also in question.
Not entirely sure why this is.... Rob points out that Stuart is busy running Alan Johnson's deputy leadership campaign; Ian Delaney points out that writing about social media and technology for a living has caused him to fall short.
As mentioned last week I am desperate to get some stuff written up but simply don't have the chance at the moment what with new job and sleeping on other people's sofas.
Will definitely get some abridged stuff written up asap.

I'm in the same boat as well Simon. And we have our PR diploma to fit in too and, in my case, two teenage sons who rely on me to be their personal chauffeur out of necessity. I'm now researching some posts for my blog tomorrow when I would much rather be sitting in the garden I have spent the entire weekend working on, one of my hobbies in my pre-blog life.

Blimey... had forgotten about the diploma. Not to mention Stephen Davies - "taking a break from blogging".

Time to blog? You make the time. Or don't and concentrate on writing something interesting every other week

It seems everyone's on Facebook, full time...

From a personal perspective, it's a 3 level problem. The first is that there hasn't been an awful lot going on for a while now. IT might even be the case that PR blogging is gradually dying rather than growing. I'm finding it a bit of a struggle create relevant content. I don't want my blog to be about blogging, which seems a common trap.
Also I'm not actually doing PR at the moment, i've got one social media project on the go, but, generally, I'm not working in PR.
Finally, people are spending a lot more time on facebook at the moment.

Glad to see I've got a discussion going! I partly agree with Ian about making time. I've enjoyed getting back into blogging this week. But then life is, briefly, slightly less hectic, and I've therefore been in a more reflective mood. What was that saying about chickens and eggs?

Thnaks all for your comments... ironic isn't it that a post about low levels of blogging got people out of the woodwork.
Hopefully normal service from this site will resume shortly now that the Olympic logo is launched.
