Spannerworks launches ebook on social media

The search engine marketing firm, Spannerworks, has launched an ebook giving a 'primer' to social media.

The book, What is Social Media?, has been written by the firm's Head of Content and Media and fellow blogger, Antony Mayfield.

It looks good. I haven't read it all yet but I will definitely be ploughing through it at some point in the near future.

One thing it's already taught me is that as terminology and technology change rapidly, getting a grip of the basics is essential. Get them wrong and everything else risks not making sense - or at least falling into place easily!.

Kudos to Antony for bringing out a primer on the topic. It certainly helps set a standard for understanding social media.

The book can be downloaded by going here.
